Once we grab a cab from Keflavik airport and took the ride into Reykjavik we arrived at our home away from from for the duration of our stay. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment through VRBO which was easy to use.
The apartment was in a good location for us. Up the street was a hotel that we could go in to ask question, a short walk to the main dining/shopping street, and most of all, a short walk to what would become our favorite spot – Reykjavik Roasters! This was our first stop when we began exploring the city. Since our flight got in at 6 am we need our breakfast and caffeine fix!
The coffees are made to order so if you are in a hurry this may not be the place for you, but if you want a strong delicious cup of coffee, great atmosphere, and great food this is the place for you. On days in which we had breakfast here, my go to choice was chia seeds in coconut milk with apples, nuts and coconuts and for a sweet treat Sörur. Sörur is chocolate glazed butter cream macaroon.
After our stop here we were ready to hit the ground running and begin exploring Reykjavik to see what it had to offer.
The touring of the city and other adventures are still to come!
