Flesh and Blood – Patricia Cornwell
Book number 22 in the Kay Scarpetta series has Dr. Kay Scarpetta in a game of cat and mouse with an unknown opponent. Kay and Benton are planning to get away for her birthday but she is called into a crime scene by Marino. The murder was a sniper shot that left no trace behind. Additional bodies showing up. As they follow a trail it appears that whoever is doing this is targeting those close to Kay. Who from their past is targeting them? Will they be able to stay a step ahead of them?
This is your typical Scarpetta book. This was a long and slow read for me. I usually enjoy Scarpetta books but my slow reading slum may not have done this book justice.
